A nice tribute to an underrated band. "Memphis, Egypt" is one of the all-time great songs of any era. Does anyone else remember the Mekons Watch that appeared in every issue of Option magazine in the early 90s? Does anyone even remember Option magazine?
The Mekons!! Yes! Very nice job Rob. Have you had the pleasure of seeing some of Jon Langford's artwork, not to mention is very fine comic book called"Great Pop Things" he writes under the moniker of Chuck Death with Colin B. Morton. I recall the Mekons Watch as I was devoted reader of Option.
No I haven't, Tom, but I'd love to... And Ion, yeah, I recall Option, as I used to read it occasionally, but don't recall the feature. Happy holidays to you two wonderful folks. :-)
That goes for you too, good sir.
Very lovely. I recall Option as well, although not the Mekons watch. Happy holidays to you!
I have to agree with Ion Moe: "Memphis, Egypt" is one of the great songs of all time.
