Well, I made up this tape for my friend HM, for when she gets back to school in the New Year. Not exactly a cheery welcome to the year I guess, but hey. Does this really have a theme? I dunno. I was thinking of songs that were maybe kind of downbeat and a bit blue, without being Blue, although clearly there are some songs on there that aren't. whatever. I also set myself the rule that all the tracks had to come out of the 7" singles boxes too, which was a lot of fun. I rediscovered a lot of old early `90s American independent music by doing that. Damn, there were some great labels back then (falls into mumbling reverie about `the old days' that no-one wants to listen to.).
