Comment:
This is a varied selection of New Zealand Music, made for distribution to several American Friends (exchange). Starts of Mellow and Spooky, Gradually moves into a Rock Vibe, Then Into more Pop and Electronicy stuff, and finishes off with a number of mellow and somber tracks.
Feedback:
nice one bro. of course there are other songs that would've made it perfect but to complain about their absence would just be proving i'm a kiwi. so yeah. nice one bro.
Very cool. Although I only know the more famous (if you'd call it that) artists on here - like the clean, chills, bats, 3ds, chris knox, s.f. and the mutton birds.
This looks great (I still can't get into Dimmer, however--I love the SJFs too much). A quick question (if you don't mind): is Lanky composed of ex-members of the JPSE? For some reason, I think that is the case. If it's true, I'll probably end up using the net to track down their music. Indianapolis unfortunately doesn't stock NZ music.
yeah they're kind of a super-group featuring Jim Laing from JPSE, the Strangeloves' Noel Ward, Expendables' Robert Key and The Mad Scene's Tony de Raad.
The debut's ok, a little uneven, but with some pretty nice hooks, and they've got a follow-up coming out soon on Ben Howe's (Superette) Arch Hill label.

Got the Lanky disk the other day--it sounds pretty good after a couple of spins. I'll have to check out the Arch Hill label and its bands (I suppose I need to branch out from Flying Nun). Thanks for the information.
