Comment:

Two Strausses, Richard and Johann, are featured in 2001: A Space Odyssey, but it's Richard's composition (aka "Also Sprach Zarathustra") that begins this collection. Johann's "By the Beautiful Blue Danube" (aka "The Blue Danube Waltz") appears in both 2001 and 1932's Best Picture Oscar® winner, Grand Hotel. Meanwhile, "Die Walkure: Ride Of the Valkyries" is performed in Apocalypse Now and in the Oscar®-winning Bugs Bunny cartoon What's Opera, Doc? Kill da wabbit, kill da wabbit…
