Comment:
And, this concludes the trilogy of Who mixes for myself. This one was tough. See, I find that the years of 1975-1982 were *very* underrated for the band. I happen to love nearly every song on the band's last four studio records, which is a rare type of Who fan. Anyways... the two songs come directly from Pete's personal website, where he practically gave away a full live album's worth of MP3's from the last Who tour in 2000. Good, good tsuff. Check it out if you ever get the chance.Feedback:
Nice surprise by adding live tracks from 2000 on your final volume. Great cover of "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" also. The Who just take that song over and rip right into it with the guitar and vocals. Overall a great way to end the series.
I'm glad to see "squeeze box" is nowhere to be seen on the entire set. maybe their most embarrasing song. maybe not.
I really like the Who's 75-82 period too, particularly The Who by Numbers and Face Dances. Both underrated records in my opinion. Nice one on the Daily Records inclusion!!
Nice job on all 3 volumes...the beauty of making mixes for yourself is that you have NO reason to have to justify any of your picks! If they don't like it, fuck 'em!
All good stuff.
All good stuff.
And Squeeze Box is a great song...it's a joke fer chrissakes!
Nicely done, it's a wonderful triology.
