Comment:
name comes from Ginsberg's Sunflower Sutra, also the last track on the tape. sort of for a "down" mood but not depressing, more a mixture of "down" and "pissed off." and "hopeful."Feedback:
a little heavy on the beat poets. but I guess i'll let you live. ha.
Pretty rad. I must applaud Concrete Jungle and White LIght White Heat.
small brown bike and the cure. beat poets. didn't think i'd ever see those on a tape together, but i think it works. nice.
tee-hee-hee Anti-Flag. Every band is decent besides Anti-Flag. I'm sorry about those guys don't belong on anyone's mix tapes. They don't even represent the home town they claim to love! Aus Rotten or the Dread, now there are some real Pittsburgh bands. Anti-Flag, maybe 5-6 years ago, but no way now. Perfect signs that punk rock is a dying art form.
both of those anti-flag songs are from 5-6 years ago . . . and i just saw them at roboto for $5 a few weeks ago, i think that's being pretty true to the town. but i respect your opinion, thanks for the compliments otherwise.
zeke:
tee-hee-hee punk rock. I was stricken when I realized that Joey Ramone died, until I saw that he left you in charge. You're exposed: sayin' you're all punk rock when your mixes are just a bunch of indie rock. You are the reason people think punk is a "dying art form."

what is the joe strummer/jack kerouac song?
it's "macdougal street blues" . . . joe strummer reading the kerouac poem over some mescaleros-style house music. it's on the "kicks joy darkness" comp.
