Comment:

For my buddy Huevos toiling away in film school...I send him a cassette every now and then. TRIVIA FOR THE SMART ROCK KIDS: As far as I can see, there are 3 cover songs on this tape. What are they and who did the original?? Oh yeah, "cheese in the wind" is a reference to Ferris Bueller's Day Off...

i must only be one third smart rock kid, because "girl named sandoz" was originally an animals song if i'm not mistaken...i like this mix quite a bit...

I am such a ridiculous trivia lover I can't help but take the bait here. My guesses would be Spiritualized (cuz it incorporates "Call me the Breeze" by J.J. Cale), Smashing Pumpkins (It's an Eric Burdon/Animals song, isn't it?) and the Foo Fighters (here I must confess to some cheating - I looked that one up. It's a Gerry Rafferty song). Anyway, all of that is moot next to the fact that this is a fine mix. Hope your friend likes it.

Right and right and right. I'm positive that the Smith/Montgomery tune and pretty sure the Gilberto was done before, but the concept of "covers" is pretty moot. Thank you for playing!!
