With the exception of the Sex Pistols, I love every single band on this list. I especially like the fact that you put Devo and X on there. You left off some seminal bands like The Germs, the New York Dolls, and most unforgettablly Iggy and the Stooges, probably the true creators of the popular punk rock sound used by everyone of these bands. Also, check out the Modern Lovers (Sex Pistols covered them a lot, i.e. Roadrunner.) The Modern Lovers are considered proto-punk, but they still rock. The punk that is popular today is much more reminscent of the early 80's DC hardcore scene then any of these bands. Teen Idles (NOTE: not the Teen Idols, who are now popular) and Minor Threat, both of which are Ian McKaye bands (Fugazi) also Government Issue, S.O.A, among many others.

bulemics aren't old school. in fact, the song your friend put on your mix was released in '99.
