Comment:

Penultimate mix for the ex, circa May 2000. By this point, I had the unshakable forboding that things were pretty much soon to be kaput, yet I still clung to the starry eyed idealism that had allowed me to weather the storm up to this point.
I made this mix in one take, which I think is kinda remarkable (since I usually agonize over these things for weeks or month...pathetic, huh?)...but even more remarkable, I guess, is that I did it while getting progressivley drunker as the mix went along. It took all night, and the better part of the morning, but I finished it in one go, damnit! Thus, the first side reflects the sort of euphoric giddiness of your first few drinks, when everything is right in the world...I wanted to make a mix that was part love songs, part dance party. By the time I made it to the second side, I had hit the midlevel melancholy of your next batch of drinks, and the songs spiral downward from there. Thus, a pretty lousy mix, yet one which holds a special place in my heart...

"Touch Me" into "She's A Lady!" Crooner heaven! Doesn't seem lousy to me, though definitely alcohol soaked. Just one thing...I think the first song is called "Flaming Lips" by Race For The Prize. Otherwise, very very nice.

Actually, this mix isn't bad - however, you must have been getting head spins by the time Journey was put on here! I notice a lot of Boston bands on here, are you from Boston? (I'm an ex-bostonian)
