Comment:

Januari 2002 Indiepoplist tapeswap.
After doing the cd-swap for a couple of months I changed back to doing the tapes. For some reason the 2x45 minute timespan makes for a far better 'musical experience' than the 1x70something one.

I agree completely with your comments. Having two sides, a middle point, the need for two side starters and closers...tapes win over cds.

suitably impressed by the track-listing. the title's great too - although i will never love Mike Love - i'm with the Wilsons on this one.
let me know if you'd care to trade, i'd like to hear this.

it definitely takes more effort to put together a mixed tape i think...plus you listen as you go. this is beautiful though. i think i need to get in on the indiepop-list tape swap. it would be a definite improvement over reading the continuing barcelona break-up flame floating around those parts...

Yup, I've got to agree with you, re: a better experience with tapes vs cds. Great mix and title too.

I have to vote for CD's over tapes...longer lasting, easier for most to listen to (haven't had a tape in my player for months) and who says you can't listen while you go?

tapes always win over CDs because they're smaller and they go in cheap walkmans and they can be posted for 40 cents. that's it. yes anyway this is a lovely lovely tape, i had been wondering how out of all the B&S songs on the planet anyone would choose I Love My Car but then i remembered dancing around to the cheesy trumpety bits just this very morning so there you go.

Both Bauer AND Motorpsycho!? How random... how bizarre... how fantastic... (and that's not to mention B+S, Delgados, Ed Harcourt, and on and on...)
