Comment:

It's easy to discount Lagwagon. And indeed, nowadays I myself discount them as nothing more than another pop-punk band. Back in the day though, as far as punk since the actual "scene" was destroyed goes, Lagwagon used to be at the top of the game. Speedy, powerful, with that intricate metal influence, Lagwagon always captivated my intrest. Well, their first two albums did, from then on I only found a tune or two from each I really liked. This mix is comprised of selections from their first four studio albums, and all that extra unreleased material they piled onto one big CD. Anyway, I hope to give this to two friends as well as my wife.

this is a good, good mix - much like you alude to, lagwagon are one of the few (if not the only) of my pop-punk hangover favorites that i'll still give the benefit of the doubt and pick up their records. while the skate-punk aesthetic they carry around usually gets them dismissed as relevant songwriters, they've always managed to write a jawdropping song or 3 on every record that make me rethink my own wholesale write-off of pop-punk. then i hear stuff like new found glory, and remember why i gave it up.

i like it much. yes, i really did appreciate lagwagon back in the day of "punk", but now they really can be accounted for "pop-punk". i like them anyways, and nice mix. check mine out. it's kinda emo/pop-punk ... but hehe leave a comment. tanks.
