From non insulting pop punk to melodic hardcore anthems to metal tinged tirades about daily life, Strung Out stands head and shoulders over the rest of the Fat Wreck Chord pack. Back during Freshman and Sophomore year I was hella "punk rock" and acquired tons of punk cd's, many of them being in the Epitaph-Fat-Nitro triumvirate. While nowadays I am less insane when it comes to musical purchases I cannot discount some of the bands that inspired me to new heights way back in the day. At first glance Strung Out is just another wanker new school punk outfit, which is exactly what I thought at first. I had to let them...sink in before I convinced myself otherwise. As it stands I'm culling out all the CD's I no longer wish to actively own and burning all my favorite tunes onto one CD. I guess that's about all I have to say, except that I feel sorry for musical snobs and people who look their noses down on others as far as musical preference goes. Silly silly kids. Anyway, Richard III is hella innocent of what those goddamn Tudors said of him.
