I made this for a friend who goes to school in Iowa, and is pretty much miserable there. He loves anything tropical or exotic in nature and anything with a good groove, as this is mostly themed such to get his mind away from school and the weather. I must admit that i borrowed four or five songs from Dev Co.'s "I'll Take a Carribbean on the Rocks", an awesome mix of the week from awhile back, as they went perfectly with the rest of it (hey, imitation is the greatest form of flattery. thanks Dev Co). I've listened to it quite a few times before going to sleep, and it kinda reminds me of that scene in the movie Contact when Jodie Foster has been transported deep into space and finds herself on a beautiful sunny beach with a colorful starry sky above her-- which i shamefully tried to reproduce.
