Stones Discoveries - The World of the Rolling Stones
Comment:
The Stones carved their initials in the turf between the howl of the Chicago bluesmen and the growl of the Memphis rockers. They drew on the dark side for “Stupid Girl” and “Ride On Baby,” angry young men wearing a macho posture under their English Leather. Keith Richards, just like George Harrison and Carl Wilson before him, laid out the signature Chuck Berry riff (on “Carol”) in note-perfect fashion. And Brian Jones’ swampy slide on Willie Dixon and Howlin’ Wolf’s “Little Red Rooster” rambles slow and muddy as the Mississippi.
