Wow, what a mind opening experience for me. I was at my friend's house and experienced the fine aspect of hip-hop, more specifically, the "underground" scene. I knew of Jurassic 5 and The Roots before i made this, however I had never really listened to them. Other groups, such as Outkast and A Tribe Called Quest, just felt right for this compilation becasue they have always been favorites of mine. I hope to explore more on my own, but I do feel i got a great taste, as my friend is quite knowledgable in this subject. So tell me what you think...

ahhh, Slimm Calhoun. That's a brilliant choice. "Passin' Me By" is timeless also. ask your friend about the classics from the first half of the 80s. brilliant. great first mix.
