Comment:

i'm not really feeling depressed, but the sad songs seem so pretty right now. i really like the flow of the last six tracks, because the music itself is so sad. the whole thing makes me think of robert frost, like if you took his poems and made music out of them, it would be the music on those last tracks, regardless of the lyrics, cold, lonely, and sort of desolate.

I thought the title was a reference to the Simpsons, myself...until I saw the picture, that is.

Cool stuff, Pam... despite my aversion to David Gray. ;-) Almost every other selection is lovely, though, and I love the Steinbeck book/title/reference. Feel free to answer yr e-mail at some point... :-P

you girls are obnoxious teasing those of us that live with the winter. it was 12 degrees(f) when i drove to work this morning. the sad music is good for the drive in the dark of (yuck) 6:45 am. rob, i'm sorry i didn't write back. i've got the flu, so i keep forgetting things and i'm busy with work. i'll try and stay awake long enough to write back.

feel to believe is a great song. i wish the album ended with that instead of the central reservation remix, even though that's nice too. i saw beth orton once and after the show she ran away from me. good job putting heather nova and the raincoats, too.

When I saw your mix I laughed so hard I shit myself. If I were to ever find my prosthetic arm, I'd put it on and learn to play the acoustic guitar real pretty. I have to go play dice with dog now, except he doesn't have any money, and neither do I. So I fucked him, and took him to the vet. He's got crabs.
