Clapton has managed to stay vital in the 21st century, partly by railing articulately against the darker corporate forces of the modern music business (steamroller marketing, style-over-substance, etc.) and partly by restocking his creative stall with top quality new material: 2004's [i]Diamond Mine[/i] is the work of a true maestro. Heroic.
