Yes, it's volume 2. Hopefully this will not incite a riot as the first volume did. I think I like this one more, actually. Enjoy, kids.

I think I might like this one more, too... well, maybe not, but it's *great*. Hmm... a little shameless self-promotion (the Frampton Brothers) there, boy? :-)

Frampton Brothers? Uh, I have nothing whatsoever to do with that band. Watch it, or I'll post a Frampton Brothers mix. I don't know - that song just seemed to fit the mood. Can you think of a better FB song for the mood?

Great stuff! Another mix that jars my memory banks and has me digging thru the stacks of the record library at mighty Casetta towers. Keep in up fellow AOTMers. The Blow Pops from Milwaukee, great harmonies. The Optic Nerve, great NYC garagy pop group from the late 80's/early 90's. The Frampton Brothers, from the same era. I recall seeing them live as well. Ok, where is my stack of 45's from the Get Hip Label?

Frampton Brother's mix? I don't know. You could inflict the R. Dean Taylor tune "Indiana Wants Me" on the public yet again.

Wow, where did you see the Frampton Brothers? I ask, since that's my own band, as Rob pointed out. We played with the Blow Pops, which is when I first heard them. I guess the self-promotion is a little gross, but I've always liked this particular song.

I think I saw you folks at the now defunct hole in the wall dive called "The Four G's" in Bethlehem, PA.

We played "Indiana Wants Me" in Indiana, PA at a frat house. Yep... it went over like, uh,..... It didn't go over at all. You're from Philly, right? Did you see us at the Khyber?

The Four G's. Wow, I recall playing with a punk band called "I'd rather be dead", or something like that. Faux Brit accents, too, I think. They were sorta cool, in a "Spinal Tap of punk" kind of way.

You know, Sean, I may just have to make CASETTA a Frampton Brothers mix. :-) Shall I include some Macrame stuff, as well, or perhaps the Donut People track? :-D

Oh, boy, I'll get such delights "Johnny Hates The Ramones", "Dressing Room" and "Do The Chair" among others.

I think the term "delights" may be up for debate.

Are you aware, Tom, that the protagonist of "Johnny Doesn't Like the Ramones" is the Donut People (my band, if you've forgotten)'s lead singer? (Did I *send* you a Donut People disc or the "Gazing at the navel" comp?) Talk about brushes with greatness... I only hobnob with the best. lol

Nice comp! I love the Redd Kross track, and it's nice to see Scruffy getting some respect. I caught them live back in the late '80's, and they just tore it up. Good stuff. Wanna trade for this? Email me at dave@appleservice.net, and check my list of mixes for ideas.

Scruffy the Cat kick total ass. Charlie is a great guy, and his post-Scruffy stuff is also quite fine. I've seen him live, but sadly, I discovered Scruffy about a year too late.

I think all of the violence has died down for the while. Maybe it's the soothing sounds of pop music.

The soothing croon of Ed Masley, perhaps? ;-)

well...i was going to talk about how that small faces track reminds me of throwing entire snadwiches at ducks and how this duck tried to ingest an entire sandwich in one gulp...but after all this "Frampton Brother" "Donut People" ramblings...i'll just say again a very nice mix sean .

Another great mix Sean. I felt like I had wandered into a bar during the middle of a brawl when I commented on your last mix. Oh yeah, Frampton Comes Alive was a great album;)

Hey Sean. I too must stand up and be counted as a Frampton Brothers fan. I'm a friend of Mr. Masley's from Temple--he and I worked together on the mighty entertainment page of the Temple News back in the mid-80s. I've got all the Framptons' stuff too. Well, not the rarities, but certainly the CDs. Great mixes, by the way.

Yes, I've played with Ed since, good God, 1988. Wow, ... it sounds like a prison sentence. But he's written some of my favorite songs of the past 10 years. I seem to recall Ed speaking pretty highly of his Temple News days. Thanks for the kind words.

You know, I do have one Ed-related "rarity" after all--the Johnny Rhythm "Radio Ameicana" 45 w/picture sleeve.

okay, now i feel like a total schmuck for never having seen the blow pops, frampton brothers, or scruffy the cat play live. but i still like this mix! does that count for anything?

Of course it counts for something! Actually, having never seen the Frampton Brothers play live puts you in the majority of music lovers, especially those in Pittsburgh.

"Radio Americana" - that was back in Ed's 'Michael Bolton look-a-like' phase.

Rob, I'm not sure that the world is ready for Macrame to be thrust at them. Still, I really miss that band.

Of course the world is ready for Macrame! I mean, there's that huge 100 Flowers revival going on, after all. ;-) Just kiddin', babe.

This is another terrific mix...I can't believe I haven't seen your mixes before! Really great stuff on here!
Oh, and even though I lived in Pennsylvania for 7 years, it was in my pre-live show days...I was just a wee bit of a thing back then-- too bad I missed out!
