Comment:

80 screeching minutes from the Chicago noise-meisters (whose mastermind is my favorite current producer). Oh, by the way, I just wanted to mention that I am a God, in case people seem to have missed the point before. (Thought I'd spell it out, ya know, since a certain jackass here seems to think he can read that statement into all of my previous comments--hence the subtitle. I'm going to leave the sentence up, though, so I know that people who "get" the meaning of my statement are worthwhile and are friends and those who don't are as moronic as he is. 'Nuff said.)

GREAT mix from Mr. Albini's band. Man, Touch and Go was a great fuckin' label for awhile. For an intersting rant on the problem with music; read Albini's well circulated item. Here is the link.

Rob Conroy is God!? This is good news for modern man. The Jehoviah Witness who rang my doorbell told me God was here on earth already. Let's see, he has been crucified on this site achieving one of the prerequisites. He just might be the Messiah. Thank goodness.I am glad to know the good lord has some decent music taste.

Yeah, Andrew, "Two Nuns and a Pack Mule" is absolutely classic (and still available through Touch & Go, I'm sure--check amazon or one of those sites). Thanks for the comments, folks.

Big Black is one of my favs., but I do prefer Rapeman (the Supergroup if you will-Members of Jesus Lizard, Albini, and wasn't a member of Ministry in the band or am I thinking about Scratch Acid?)

In their day, it seemed the same dozen people were the only ones at Big Blacks local shows. Glad to see others now agree on their power, as well as the little weed's studio prowess. Oddly, I just saw him on VH1 this aftrenoon, talking about Robert Fripp. Note to Papa - You might be confusing Big Black with The Blackouts, who morphed into the good version of Ministry.

I remember the guy out of Urge Overkill was slagging off Albini a few years back and Albini retorted with, 'Let's see who's still making records and who's sucking dicks in bus shelters for wallet change in ten years' time'. What a dude. Shellac have organised All Tomorrows Parties this year, featuring loads of bands no one's ever heard of. Except Rob. Ha.
