Comment:
The first in a set of 'biographical mixes'. This one covers my first 13 years, during which my musical influences were family, friends, and AM radio. The truth can be embarassing.Feedback:
Hey man, there's nothing wrong with acknowledging our musical roots... my first single (at age 3) was "Billy, Don't Be a Hero" by Bo Donaldson & the Haywoods. '70s AM radio was definitely a trip, though. And, additionally, there's certainly nothing wrong with the Ray Charles, Elvis, Fleetwood Mac, B-52's or Boomtown Rats songs. Even that Blondie song isn't *that* bad...
great picture! take from Cypress in West Van of the Vancouver skyline?
NICE!
NICE!
The title is great. Reminds me of all the sideroads I spent staring at the powerlines from the "wayback" of the station wagon while someone played the fifty ways to leave your lover or the clouds in my coffee you're so vain song.
Lovely design, too.
Lovely design, too.
Hey, autobiographies are always interesting. Definitely a good back seat mix eager to please.
Autobios are wonderful. Lovely image, too.
Yes indeed, that's the picture. I grew up primarily in North Van and for a while in >shudder< Kamloops.
Everyone's comments are so nice, I hope you'll be as kind as the future installments roll out. :)
