Comment:
((this is actually a 2 CD mix)) i was a weird pubescent kid-- i didn't like loud music. i was raised by hippies who listened mostly to joan baez and joni mitchell and csn&y, and that sort of stuff was what i liked, plus the beatles and a few other things. it took me till i was 14 or 15 to appreciate "rockin" music, and another couple to appreciate anything abrasive. my 13 year old cousin, on the other hand, showed up today wearing a ramones t-shirt-- and the ramones would've been *way* to rockin for me at 13, too "dumb". so when i say "i made a mix i think a 13 year old boy would dig," you have to understand that in many ways, i'm guessing, cause i haven't been where most of them have. . . he said he liked "punk, like bad brains". you can take this as you will-- i took it to mean, i'd make him a mix. here it is *iFeedback:
really good mix. I love the Fall, and don't see them in too many mixes. Lot's of good rockin' stuff here. Well done.
Most pof those sonfgs are so good I can overlook The Strokes and Pedro The Lion.
I give this a "G" rating for "General Audiences" and for "Great."
this is pretty damn cool. i especially dig the treepeople tune and um, a whole bunch of the other choices too. yeah. good stuff.
wow
This is overwhelm(ingly good). Love the idea of kicking of a mix with Weezer's SWA. Thinking about it makes me smile...
well it's about time people realised the true rockinness of Devo!
My life would have been very different if I was introduced to all the cool bands when I was 13. It took me years to figure out what's what and I am still finding stuff I missed. This kid gets a headstart. No fair!! :)
