This looks great, but no Herbie Mann? Some of his sides with Sonny Sharrock are pretty out there. Roland Kirk should get extra points for being the only nose flute player here.

Wow! This and your other two 'Jazz Editions' are fascinating. Just the right combination of players I love and people I either haven't heard or haven't heard of. Nice to see Phineas Newborn on the Piano Edition ('Here Is...' & 'The Great Jazz Piano of...' are astounding). As chance would have it, I'm going to see Ahmad Jamal in a couple of weeks.
The Avant Garde/ Free Edition I'd like to hear and this Flute Edition is great. I always had a thing for flute & Roland Kirk, probably comes from listening to too much Jethro Tull when I was younger!You should look out for an album by an Irish guy called Tommy Hayes (An Ras) that has a version of Mr PC on it with amazing flute (I've only just started here at AoTM but that track will undoubtedly appear on one of my mixes eventually).
