Comment:
The aim with this one was to come up with a series of songs that I find highly repetitive in various ways, be they structural (e.g. one chord pattern going through the entire song) or lyrical (e.g. "Hey Mr Rain", with one verse repeated six or seven times through the track). Having come up with that idea, I then decided to make the collection of songs itself as diverse as I could. Which I think I've managed to do, too, as you may observe by a couple of perhaps bizarre juxtapositions (I don't recall seeing any other mix here which makes Belle & Sebastian follow Current 93) and the way it swings through glacial ambience, Tuvan exotica, grandiose orchestration, grating avant-gardism and general weirdness. The title comes from the song of the same name by Regurgitator, which does not actually appear on this mix (oh the irony).Feedback:
Cool. What about "All Around The World" by Oasis?? "Nya nya na na...."

When I saw the title I thought, you can't not have Neu! on here, and sure enough, there they are.

Scott: I wanted repetitive but good :) Unfortunately "All Around The World" has always struck me as one of Oasis' lowest moments...

Yeah, I hate that song, too, James (although I don't claim to hate early Oasis). Nice mix. I sent you an e-mail yesterday... not sure if you received it...

Good stuff, James. Like the Scientists pick, who were here just last week in Perth for a coupla gigs, incl the BDO.

Yeah, that Oasis song sucks, but you know...it just goes on and on...
Oh well I guess the mix is beter off without it.

Very nice, seems like you've accomplished exactly what you set out to do, and you did so with tremendous style.
(for some reason this mix reminds of the Kenosha Kid episode in Gravity's Rainbow, that can't be normal)

very cool idea and fine exceution. could also have used other VU songs including "jesus" which has one two line verse repeated, i believe, 3 times...
