Pete Townshend is so inextricably linked with the Who that it's hard (no pun intended) to separate the two, but the lanky leader of the former High Numbers has an impressive solo career. It's possible that people were wondering if Townshend would fall apart after the death of Keith Moon, but 1980's [i]Empty Glass[/i] was a Top 5 album, and the single, "Let My Love Open the Door," hit #9. The follow up, an even harder-rockin' "Rough Boys," only hit #89, but has become a staple at classic rock radio. But the story doesn't stop there — it continues in our Next Steps.
