Comment:
2/17/03: I got some new editing/burning software, so I cleaned up the sound on this mix and added three songs (Ray Charles, Freddie King, and Carla Thomas) to the original line-up.Feedback:
This is a really, really sweet old-school r 'n' b mix.
I've heard this mix, and it's terrific.
Yes, this looks VERY nice. I really like how it's not all the sort of cliched '60s r&b that gets played on oldies radio stations all the time.
This looks terrific, especially the O.V.!
This looks great. Good job.
The morning I get this mix I pick up some friends to do a couple of routes on the rock faces near by. The majority of my crew is squeezed into the back seat with a nalgene in one hand and a red bull in the other. 'Biners are clanking and I can see people wincing in pain from what the recreational late night activities from a few hours earlier. I pull out The Town I Live In and slip it in. By the time Clarence Carter comes in people are smiling cracking their necks and stretching their shoulders. Sometimes a little shot of soul is the best hangover cure.
