Comment:
My second Valentine's depression mix, a companion piece to last year's "Wired Into Sadness". This one's a bit different structurally. These are the song that should've been written about me and, since the Smashing Pumpkins and the Deftones occupy such a large percentage of my collection, they appear repeatedly. Plus, they're both great at these types of songs. For some reason, the name of the rapper from the Bjork remix is escaping me completely. The mix begins with longing for a relationship and the anxiety which that brings. Then a crush develops which leads to love, but near the end of the mix, the love has deteriorated, and you're single again. I know that this isn't a "good" mix because it doesn't have the hidden track from a Scottish-only import of a White Stripes EP, but this is where I am right now.Feedback:
good mix...rare obscurity or not...don't let the snobs on this site get you down!
"Set the Ray To Jerry" is my second all time fav SP song under "Ugly". And played out or not I have placed Bush's "Glycerine" on many a depression mix! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who feels as though the music elitists have swarmed this site a bit. "Don't let the bastards grind you down." Keep on posting :)
nice inclusion of you got me. it changes the momentum well.
Very nice Erin. That hidden track on the Scottish-only White Stripes EP is actually really good!;-)
I don't know all of these, but I do dig the Outkast, Meth, and Portishead. Keep em comin'.
sour times...argh, that song. always gets me. cool mix. spesh lenny, portishead and bjork.
