Comment:
For James. Part one in my inept attempt to introduce an American to New Zealand music. This is stuff that reminds me of my childhood, and I've missed a lot of stuff out, because I suck too much to own the albums. Most of the choices are lame cop-outs, but he won't know that. If you think the title's cheesy, you should have seen what it was originally going to be...Feedback:
W00t. and Poi E! What more can I say without resorting to rox0r?
y'know, it's kinda sad, but i think the only song here that reminds me in any way of my childhood is 'counting the beat', because it's the song from the k-mart ads... now what i'd like to see is that parody of 'how bizarre', do you (does anybody?) have a copy of that? also i am quite impressed that the fourmyula had a song called mr. whippy. ahh, mr. whippy...
Oh man, you should hear it, the intro is Greensleaves!!!1 I will put it on the tape that I will eventually make for you when I get around to mailcrapping you. I grew up with most of these songs because my family are drunks, so listen to a lot of Jordon Luck et cetera
Great stuff. I love that K-mart ad (well, the music, that is).
yeah, don't dream it's over is a lame cop-out. you want to do a real NZ crowdies song, pick something from "Together Alone". If you chose "Nature" over "Mr. Whippy" then it would read like that NZ 30 greteast songs poll last year
that *should* have been greatest. incidentally if you're making copies...
