Comment:

the concept is simple - I chose my top 20 favorites albums of 2001, in order, and I picked one song from each album. surprisingly, it makes a nice and fairly cohesive mix.

just one question:
is death cab your #1 album, or your #20?

Some cool stuff... I did something really similar on a mix called "If it was permanent, the world would mean a whole lot less". Check it out and we'll compare notes. :-)

But I own almost all of the albums that you've used here. That says something. :-)

What Mountain Goats record was released in 2001, anyway? "The Coroner's Gambit" came out in 2000 (I know, because it was my #4 record of that year)...

hmmm i had a feeling i screwed up on that, I thought Coroner's Gambit might be 2000. damn. I've since also discovered that Portastatic didn't officially come out 'til 2002, i just had it way early. oh well...
