Comment:

with all the new wave i've been listening to lately, i finally broke down and made a mix. i think i dig it - although there's so much i wanted to put on here that wouldn't fit. i think i may have to make a 2nd volume soon. anyway, i started off with the "darker" new wave, and ended with the more danc-y stuff.

This is crazy. I just dug out a really old mix I made for a friend of mine with the very same title. The approach is a bit different, but there's definitely some similarities. I think I should post it for purposes of comparison.

Sounds like a cool mix, I am going through a new wave phase, too!

I just love Gary Numan.
His song "Are Friends Electric" is one of my absolute favourites.
I love Joy Division and Talking Heads too.
"Unknown Pleasures", "77", "More Songs About Food And Buildings".
Terrific stuff, if you ask me.

ha ha, just saw this one. how many mixes lately have had "love will tear us apart" on them? like, a million? man, that new wave meme is tearing shit up... great great mix, btw.
