Comment:

a cd i made last year for a party celebrating the 10th anniversary of my Sweet Sixteen. just some songs evocative of a time and a place. (Long Island in the early nineties-- the horror!)

not my proudest moments, but it's a history this cd owns up to.

Early 90s music gets a bad rap. I don't know why. Hip hop back then was so much fun. I just found an old tape of "Pop Goes the Weasel" at the thrift store. I forgot how cool that song really is. Nice mix!

Good to see Michel'le on there -- "excuse me honey, but is your husband married?" may be one of the best lines ever -- but didn't Whoop! There It Is come out several years later than the rest of these songs?

i think "Whoomp!" caught the tail end of the time (1992ish?)

mixotic license? ;)
