Comment:

I recently visited friends in Brooklyn and learned the ancient art of Eurorails, a game where you build rails across the continent of Europe and transport goods from city to city. I know, it sounds like a rollicking good time, but it's devious and sucks you in before you know it. Within 30 minutes I was hooked. During the game, which lasted over 6 hours, there was constant bickering about what to listen to. So, once I returned home I decided to make a soundtrack for Eurorails to eliminate the arguments over music. I tried to include as many train songs as possible but also songs that namecheck European cities and a few disaster sounds and songs to correspond to the numerous dangers encountered in the game. If you like games like Risk and Monopoly which take forever and seem boring at first but are ultimately incredibly addictive, do yourself a favor and check out Eurorails. You will learn how lucrative Valencia oranges can be and where the elusive city of Beograd is located.

Yeah, I left off some other good train songs and forgot to put on "Zurich is Stained" too. Once they invent 180 minute tapes, i will try to correct these errors.

a cracking mix. Stop the train by The Wailers and Downtown Train by Tom Waits for the next one? That's just me being picky. A lot of excellent tracks here.
