This is a half-assed Nerd-Core Hip-Hop mix that attempts to chronicle this accendent genre's evolution. It's in rough chronological order (if you have a Nerd-Core Hip-Hop song that predates Sounds of Science, please let me know). I realize its heavy on the Prince Paul/Automator projects, but considering how they basically created this style of Hip-Hop... anyway, big ups to becky sue's "Like you're on epcot center on acid" mix (which is full of MC Chris and probably better than mine), as well as Sam Brown and his fantastic www.explodingdog.com, from whence the title and cover of this mix comes from.

As I said, the image comes from www.explodingdog.com, and is entitled "Something is Understood". Sam Brown draws these minimalist, but extremely expressive, cartoons on a fairly regular basis. You can even search for titles (I recomend "less than three" and "oh, fuck it")
