Comment:

Made for my 6-year-old cousin, Eliza, who we fear will grow up to be a phony, as Holden would say. Last summer I vowed to not let this happen, but living 8 hours away, such is hard to do. Thus, this mix.

nice...it's never too early to start...I remember a younger cousin who I tried to give a Hendrix tape to once telling me how he'd have preferred the latest from NKOTB. I'm afraid he had to die.

i remember when i got my nephew into punk rock. he was six years old and listening to mixes of the sex pistols, the damned, the clash, 999, the buzzcocks, and other such nonsense at school. i remember he also got sent him for the day from school when he was singing a 999 song whose chorus goes "what the hell is wrong with you?" out loud in class. his mom hated me. i love my nephew.

hey sounds like an awesome mix. I love that Cake song and I kept trying to tape it off the radio but it eluded me and then they just stopped playing it altogether.

You put a song about a big penis on a mix for your 6-year-old cousin?! Lots of nice tunes here, and I would have to believe she loved "Ice Cream Man". My younger sister loves Jonathan Richman.
