Comment:
I have been in love with Belly since I first saw the video for "Feed the Tree". Throwing Muses was good, the Breeders had potential, This Mortal Coil was fine, but Belly just touched something in me that no other band has. Even Tanya Donelly as a solo artist hasn't touched me the way Belly has. High school, college, early adulthood would never have been the same without them.
Feedback:
these kinda mixes are cool...a little glimpse into what a band can do for someone.
Very nice. It's a shame they only released two albums (and several great b-sides) before calling it a day. I'm more of a fan of Throwing Muses, but the songs Tanya sang on (like the incredible "Not To Soon") have always been some of my favorites. Her first solo album was kind of hit and miss for me and I've only seen lukewarm reviews for the new record.
hmmm
i reckon i might like to have this
