Comment:

after two distant family members dropped dead over the past week, and bill started talking about buddhist traditions of sculpting out of butter to show the inpermanance of life, i started thinking about death, which is never good- but being the musicy type i started thinking about what songs i wanted at my funeral, which is fair enough. this little tape, is tucked away, i told alice about it- and she's to instruct the family on what's to be played and when should it so happen that i die in the next little while. which i don't think's likely- i'm pretty damn healthy at the moment, albeit severly sunburnt- if i don't get skin cancer by the time i'm 30 the gods are on MY side. despite popular belief- i am not having either "burn baby burn", or "underground" at my funeral.

Sorry to hear about your rellies, Rosie. I started to make a mix like this years ago, although I'm not sure what's become of it...

It's hard not to think about this sort of thing every once in a while. My best friend knows I want "Check Your Tears at the Door" by Drivin' N Cryin' played at my cremation, followed by much drunken dancing to many of the dance mixes I've made over the years.

Crazy stuff. And my condolences. I think I once had a funeral song, but I seem to have forgotten it. The way my life's been going these days, though, I'll probably be hit by a Mack truck or something soon, so I probably should reconsider my choice.
