Comment:

a sons of suburbia mix . . . recorded 28 augst 1999 . . . i started making this as a new workout mix but ended up making it a revisitation of "dissertation on violence . . ." (1993). youth violence has received extensive media coverage recently despite an overall reduction in violent juvenile crime. still, it is an important issue for the youth, for parents, and for american society as a whole . . . some artists appear on both mixes, but "killing in the name" is the only song repeated on the two, mainly because it is a great pump-you-up song but as evidenced by the rioters at woodstock '99, "fuck you, i won't do what you tell me" is a very powerful rallying cry for the young . . . keep it real out there, people . . . down with violence . . . ban the handgun . . . let's revive patience and respect for others - peace! . . . 90 minutes of alienation and anger - suburban style

God I fucking love this mix. I found it again a couple weeks ago, and it's not left the tape deck in the truck. Fan-fucking-tastic job!
