Comment:
DaYum computer imploded on me a few weeks ago...so I did what any other rational individual would do...I bought a Vaio(Sony). Couple days back I finally figured out how to use the burning applications...all of them. 24 speed...takes 5 plus minutes to burn an 80 minute disc filled to capacity....wheras it was a half an hour or so process previously...with the everpresent threat of failing at some point. So....this is my first mix created on the new machine. Some background on a few of the bands featured:
Invincible~was Mark Burgess' latest project before the Chameleons(UK)reunited in '98.
Worst Mistake[Curve]...are still very much active and that tune can be downloaded for free...www.curve.co.uk
I Remember Who Your Are[M. Gira]...from a tour only disc of songs he recorded at home. This one happens to be a Swans track(originally sung by female vocalist Jarboe)circa '87. Nowadays he's fronting Angels Of Light. Don't let the name fool ya.
Chromium[The Church]...from the new album, After Everything, Now This?
The Lotus Eaters[Dead Can Dance]....Supposedly the only completed track recorded with vocals in '98....prior to Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry going their separate ways.

Feedback:
Very cool! Nice to see Curve recording again. Thanks for the notes on the songs. I do that on my mixes as well.
Great stuff.
OMG, Johnny Cakes! I knew you had the goods. This is a damn fine effort for "just thrown together". Ahhh, the effortless subconscious. Wunderbar!
P.S. -- Gira is MY BOY, yo!
