Comment:
Vol. II. Unfortunately, there was not even the beginning of enough room to consider branching into "Will Oldham" or "Bonny/Bonnie Prince/Princ Billy/Billie" stuff, so perhaps that period will be the subject of another single-artist mix in the not-very-near future.Feedback:
Wow, Rob, you are prolific. Very lovely, once again.
Not *that* prolific, Sue. Those other three mixes that I posted yesterday were many months old. :-)
"Come a little dog" - is that a really sad song, or just totally ridiculous? I think that Palace is great, but I'm not sure that I can take 80 minutes all at once. Much like the Low comp, it sends me veering into the river on those early morning commutes.
I think it's a little of both, much like much of Mr. Oldham's output. That's part of its appeal, I guess.
oh my yes. this is a mix that is noble in its undertaking. and to see "pulpit" lets me know there are still a few wise men left in the world. (course, i miss "work hard / play hard," possibly my favorite palace track.)
