Comment:
The title comes from the Rancid track "Journey to the End of the East Bay" which chronicles the legacy that is Operation Ivy, follows through it's demise only 3 years after they formed and its significance to Tim Armstrong. This CD compiles tracks from the various bands that stemmed from Operation Ivy. The four original members split in 1989, and 3 of them joined together shortly afterwards in a new band, Downfall, followed by a smaller project, Shaken 69, with their only single, the ska song "Rudy Rudy." The 2 that continue to play together are Matt Freeman and Tim Armstrong (Lint) in Rancid. These 2 did another side project and released 1 single, "Policeman" as the Silencers. Dave Mello has since moved on to play in Schlong with his brother. Jesse Michaels has since contributed his voice and amazing lyrics to the small project that was Big Rig and his newest band, Common Rider./Operation Ivy: Jesse, Lint, Matt, Dave

Feedback:
Absolute Cool!
are you going to revise this now to include The Transplants? Isn't Matt in Auntie Christ?
i haven't heard the transplants, but yeah, matt is in auntie christ. i actually knew this at the time, but decided to keep it off because i mostly wanted the definitive bands that spawned from op ivy. schlong is really only on there because it's the only other band with dave mello, excluding downfall. but schlong ended up adding a nice touch nonetheless.
very good mix....well done....almost sad to listen to it actually....
