Comment:

a very good friend of mine who's spending the year in Bristol (UK) sent me a mail to tell me about this fabulous record she had heard, "The K&D Sessions", and how she would bring it back for me to listen. She was a bit disappointed when I told her I already bought it more than a year ago, so I put this together to introduce her to other stuff related to K&D. David Holmes, Lamb, Roni Size & Truby Trio all have some remixed tracks featured on the K&D Sessions. K&D and the Groove Armada remix (killer one) need no explaining, and the rest of it is stuff I dig, and I think it fits quite right there. A&B stands for Anne & Ben. (60 min. tape)

hey this is really good! i'm going to have to check out the rest of your mixes.. looks like we have a lot of the same electro tastes. also, do you mean kruder & dorfmeister by k&d or is this some more obscure electronic music reference? :)

didnt the k &D sessions come out years ago? it seems like they have kinda fallen off now, not much new stuff coming out from them, and now the market has become swamped with poor imitations of their sound, ala late, post trip hop exotica, etc. hmmm.

k&d does mean kruder & dorfmeister... and i don't claim to have bought the k&d sessions just when they came out (end of 98 i think), i just meant to say i bought it long before this friend told me about them (I've thought about it and I think I bought 2 years ago, but who cares ?)... glad you like it, and I agree with their decline, although I have yet to check the "Different tastes of Honey" release py Dorfmeister.
