Comment:
73.14 // say what you will about Ozzy, he still got drunk and bit the head off a dove in the boardroom of his record label and that's punk as hell! this is a compilation of artists that carry punk ideals but don't play punk music. in fact, some of these songs are about as far from punk rock as you can get, but there is definately a punk attitude in every artist on here.Feedback:
very very nice! well said
Nice selections that fit the theme. I could almost see these songs covered on a tribute comlilation featuring contemporary punk bands. Green Day doing "The Needle and the Damage Done." You get the idea...
This is a really cool theme and the choice of artists that you've made is really strong.
ooh, this is good. great idea, perfect execution...i couldnt' argue with one, especially ozzy. thumb's up.
Great idea. Well done
You fucking nailed it! Especially with Tom Waits and Nina Simone. Both would look great with pink mohawks.
I remember putting "Subterranean Homesick Blues" on a "punk" mix well over a year ago... Also, I've considered doing this myself. But more with just the anarchy ideal... and then it'd just be a bunch of songs about love and "doing things for yourself..." but yeah.
Don't know how I missed this one. Always up for the ol' "Johnny Cash is more punk rock than Green Day" type o' debate. Some fine selcetions here. Check out my punk/unpunk mix where I attempted a similair feat.
Awesome! Three cheers for the Public Enemy track.
