Before DGC dumped pretty much every good act they had, it was my favorite label. Being a very music-savvy elemetary/middle school student at the time, I was, of course, trying to rebel against "the machine" of major labels, but how could you not love this lineup? Here are a few of my favorite songs from albums that some of my favorite (to this day) bands put out while on DGC. Thanks Dave!

Also, notice how many of these bands after their DGC releases didn't really do a whole lot for a few years (Posies, Weezer, Hole). They got no support but a lot of exposure being on this label, and in my 6th grade year of school I saw both Weezer and Sonic Youth, two shows that changed my musical tastes, and my life forever.
