this is a mix for my good friend kristen. she is still away at the university and i miss her and my other friends. i am off in the real world. kristen is an interior design major, which is the reason for the title. the cover is a painting by jean-michel basquiat. this mix kinda makes me think of jean-michel/college life. dig it.

this does look supercool. if you're a basquiat fan then you should totally own the "anti ny" album. it's a compilation of music from the early 80s lower east side no-wave/underground art scene. there's a song on it by basquiat's old band gray.

there's also a movie called "downtown 81" that stars basquiat. the soundtrack is a little hard to come by but is totally worth it.

yeah i didnt get to check out downtown 81 yet although it came to pittsburgh briefly. i will have ta look into that.
