Talk about good things happening to those who wait. While Fountains of Wayne formed in 1996, they didn't score their first real hit until "Stacy's Mom" snuck onto the charts with sly lyrics and sunbeam hooks so bright they'll blind you. With a solid fan base and a Best New Artist GRAMMY® nomination suddenly in place (F.O.W.'s self-titled debut actually dropped in 1996), the band unlocked two discs of fan favorites and unreleased songs ([i]Out-of-State Plates[/i], featuring a surprisingly stellar Britney Spears cover) and sparked their latest album with a shimmering disco-pop single ("Someone to Love").
