Comment:
really, my first ever legitimate stab at a "party mix". made for a co-worker, after bonding on our mutual guilty pleasure of dance songs with a 70s tinge. she's been bugging me for a mix for awhile - although her taste & mine are pretty far apart, this lended perfect opportunity for a meeting. this is one of my favorite mixes i've made in a long time, if simply for forcing me to branch out to stuff i usually don't throw on mixes and not allowing me to rely on old crutches. and, much to my surprise, "i wonder if i take you home" sounds just as fresh (if not better) as it did in 1985 - what a damn great song.Feedback:
yes it's nice sometimes to branch out when it comes to mixtapes, though looking at your previous mixes it doesn't seem like you have too much trouble with that. the shannon song & lisa lisa cult jam are 2 of my favorite guilty pleasures. i nearly fainted last month when i found them both on vinyl at a thrift store.
i love the jazzanova remix of 4hero good pick, but not very 70's...
awesome! "let the music play" was just about the first thing i hit up napster for, and that lisa lisa track is mos definitely timeless. fun!
I used to love that Lisa Lisa/Cult Jam song - actually, I still probably do.
This mix bends my wookie! Also, be on the lookout for an Animal action figure, complete with drum kit, to be released later this year.
Killer. Love 4 hero and wookie as well. boompty.
