Comment:

This mix is ancient, so I could not understand why I hadn't posted it before. 80 minutes of one of my top five figures in music history--by far the superior member of Husker Du, in my humble opinion. I just saw him live last month and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. He's still in great voice and he's still writing great songs--he just needs a record deal (his last label, Pachyderm, went under just after the release of his latest album).

I haven't heard any of Hart's later stuff, but I love "She Floated Away."

you stole my thunder Rob. This was going to be my next mix! That's what I get for not producing mixes quickly enough! Well done. One of my favourite performers also.

Totally great, man. That first Grant lp is among the most important post-punk records ever. Pity poor Grant Hart - the guy can't even get arrested. Every Husker track you chose is brilliant.

Husker Du were the Beatles and the Mats were the Stones--at least to Minnesotans in the 80's. Great job. I, too, prefer Grant Hart to Bob Mould.

In my mind, this mix is not official until you have established the Terms of Psychic Warfare... other than that, I agree with you 100%. To me, Grant is right up there on the list of favorite musicians and without him Husker Du wouldn't have been nearly as fun to listen to, or as great.
