Comment:

This is a work in progress for all the passifists out there - Those who find the idea of war (be it against drugs, terrorism, or people) horrific and, in any event, a poor attempt at a solution. Final mix to include snippets of political speeches and traditional war songs. Goes out to Colman McCarthy, founder of the Center for Teaching Peace - or for that matter, anyone who does their part for peace. Where are the Einsteins, Kings, and Gandhi's when we really need them?

This is brilliant, Sean. Once again my thunder has been stolen. If I was doing a war mix there would be at least six of these tracks on it. Great stuff

Some powerful statements as well as an entertaining mix. I can't hear enough Billy Bragg right now. Good work Sean!

Very nice work Sean. Looking forward to the final mix. I attempted something similar about 10 years ago, but never finished. It's no surprise that Culture Club's "War Song" isn't on here!

Clearly I got it from the "Weekly World News", the only true source of new you can find in America. You're quite famous over here, BatBoy.

Glad to see someone else isn't comfortable w/the jingoism running rampant these days. "Give me an F!"

Excellent mix. The Pogues tunes are especially fitting - great choice putting Waltzing Matilda last.

I heard a laughably awful country and western song about a man who buys a Vietnam Vet's Corvette. Vet's 'Vette, I know. No war mix would be complete without it, but I don't now the name of the song. Any help? Give 'em hell, Dubya!

Good mix...but where's "Butcher's Tale (Western Front 1914)"? I know of at least one member of the US war machine who thinks it's the most haunting anti-war song he's ever heard. ;-)
