Comment:

the follow-up to the sarah happiness lightswitch tape, this one was unimaginatively titled "sarah's sampler" due to the fact that i put bunches of songs by not so many different artists. i'm guessing on the time frame, but i do know this had to be around the time that i got my wisdom teeth out and wallowed in pain and self-pity listening to nothing but "on avery island" and re-reading all the sandman comics. so august 1999 it is. the julian coryell song, by the way, is the most simultaneously catchy and obnoxious thing i have ever heard in my life.

nice nice work. s-k, beulah, 764-hero, two of my favorite modest mouse song, and anyone who puts "naomi" in a mix has won a place in my heart. i'm jealous of whoever received this.

Wow, are you ever correct about that Julian Coryell song. I bought that album in a cutout bin in Fall 1999 (I like his Dad's stuff, and I'm a big baroque pop fan), and I have this insane love/hate relationship with it.

Ah, the golden summer of 1999. Sorry about your wisdom teeth, but I had a great time.
