I was shuffling around a general playlist for writing a paper, when I came across a couple of pairs of songs that sounded really good juxtaposed. I just picked up those little fragments of mixes to use as seeds, added transitions, and went from there. I tried to avoid planning too much, first of all because it was a CD, and second of all because I wanted to remain true to the spontaneity that sparked the thing in the first place. The result is something that isn't going to anyone any time soon, but that I'd enjoy popping into my own stereo from time to time. I like having the instrumentals in there...I didn't really think about that when I put it together, but they work well as transitions.
