Comment:

A little bit experimental, a little bit ambient, just a tad pretentious. This is supposed to take me to other worlds and help me conquer seven sleepless nights. I tested it out last night, but unfortunately I listened to it all without falling to sleep. Oh well. My kingdom for a horse.

Nor have I heard Illusion of Safety mentioned either, since I left Boston, and thus the wonderful wzbc radio and the no commercial potential programming. Maybe you should try some sleeping pills next. Good luck.

would this one go under the "suave" catergory- possibly. quite possibly. very nice. my dad always suggests a nice irish whiskey for insomnia...or says "if you have trouble sleeping, follow me around for a day and i guarantee you'll be asleep by 9am..."

goodness, i'm sorry to say that i only know the radiohead and the john adams. but many congratulations on thinking of adams as mix material. i assume you're familiar with phrygian gates...?
i was thinking of making an all instrumental mix with some of the minimalist, experimental, or avant-garde music that i've collected over the last few months, (of course, i'm only now mature enough to appreciate most of it; i'm 17). i've been thinking a lot of piano phase by reich, or black angels by george crumb. simply seeing that adams there inspired me to get going on that tape.
also, do you know terry riley's "in c"?

Short of Radiohead, I don't know any of these artists. Yeesh- everytime I come to this site lately, I feel like a kid peeking in on his older brother's secret tree house club. What's the damn handshake?! I'm going to Kazaa to look for 'Subpoena the Past...' Out.
